David Jacob, MA BCC
David has worked for over a decade in healthcare chaplaincy, helping people adjust to times of loss and change, while finding strength and meaning in their spirituality. He holds a graduate degree in spiritual counseling (Master’s in Applied Theology) from Marylhurst University. He went on to complete a residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. Returning to Portland he began working as a chaplain in hospice, providing spiritual care to patients and bereavement support to their families. After six years in hospice, he moved into his current position as a clinical chaplain at a local hospital. He is a Board Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains.
